Central's Green Team strives to improve our stewardship of God's world by following sustainability as a spiritual practice--learning, reflecting and implementing new ways to be. Our work so far has included a furnace tune-up, thermostat adjustment, building-use changes, dishwasher training, switching to china cups and plates, composting food waste, a forum on reducing carbon footprint, a worm bin construction workshop, hosting Interfaith Power & Light's workshops on energy use in public buildings and at home, Green Tips in the Messenger, and celebrating a liturgical season of Creationtide in the fall. There's a lot more to do, and we'd welcome your energy too.
