Music

We at Central believe that making music together builds community and nurtures spiritual life. We have a number of music groups that contribute regularly to worship.

Chancel Choir sings 3 or 4 Sundays a month for worship during the school year. Rehearsal is Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

Resound Handbell Choir plays on the second Sunday of the month during the school year, and on Christmas Eve and Easter. Rehearsal is Wednesday at 5:30 PM.

Children make music each Sunday as a part of Sunday School. Grades 2-5 meet at 8:45 with Linda in the assembly room. Age 3-Grade 1 meets upstairs at 9 AM with Janis. Both groups contribute songs and instrumental accompaniments to our worship.

Central Brass plays occasionally during the service, and would love to welcome new brass players to the group.

Rise Up includes guitars, mandolin, piano, and string bass. Practice is on Monday nights. Rise Up helps accompany songs in worship, and also plays bluegrass, country and popular music.

Holy Smoke plays for occasional jazz-style worship services, and contribute songs now and then to our regular worship. Holy Smoke was the band for our Cabaret last fall.

Our newest group is a Flute Ensemble, and we look forward to hearing them regularly.
